MOVA (Teaching More-than-human Perspectives in Technology Design, 2022-2025) is based on a collaboration between Malmö University (coordinating partner), Aarhus University, and Eindhoven University of Technology, co-founded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
The partnership aims to equip educators with open educational resources (OER) to create conditions for students to become responsible designers by incorporating more-than-human perspectives in the design of technologies. The collection of teaching activities addresses some of the core competencies students need to acquire to work in the field of more-than-human design, with a focus on nature-human entanglements. Acknowledging that this field is still evolving, the OER offers an initial, incomplete set of teaching activities, inviting others to contribute to its ongoing development.
The educational materials provided are openly licensed under CC0 1.0 Universal, which means the work can be copied, modified, distributed, and performed without needing to ask for permission.
Teaching responsible perspectives in technology design
MOVA is part of a series of educational design projects targeting educators interested in teaching responsible perspectives in technology design. The other projects include REDUCE (Teaching Reflective Data Practices for Sustainable Technology Design) and VASE (Value Sensitive Design in Higher Education), which resulted in the OER: Teaching for Values in Design.
